Jazz Band 2 was created in 2021-2022 for the student entering into the jazz realm. These students are led by both Mr. Enright and Mr. Finders and play several styles of jazz and play in concerts and festivals. Photo by Bob Bronzan
Jazz Band 1 is a high quality-performing ensemble designed for the highly skilled musician. Students in the Jazz Band 1 will study, practice, and perform a multitude of musical styles in the jazz idiom. Students will also learn to develop the necessary skills for improvisation. Our amazing LHS Music Director is receiving this year’s Jazz Educator of the Year award from the Bay Section California Music Educators Association. Please congratulate him if you see him. Our recent jazz event and awards that are earned such as these just highlight the importance of our Jazz programs at LHS. As always, our kids deserve the best.
